Is a stair climber better than a treadmill or bike?
Different tools for different goals. Stair climbing delivers a uniquely intense, low impact workout that builds the lower body while driving heart rate up fast. 

Can it help with fat loss?
Yes. Consistent sessions burn a lot of calories and pair well with smart nutrition for fat loss.

Are there classes or programs?
Yes, a vast array of coach led on demand options and built in workouts are available to keep training exciting.

Do I need a subscription?
No. All core functionality and features are included. Optional content is available if you want the absolute most out of your STEPR machine.

Ceiling height required?
8 ft (2.44 m) ceiling recommended for the STEPR Go, Home & Pro units & 9 ft (2.74 m) for the STEPR XL (user height depending).

Will it fit through doorways?
Yes. Designed to fit through standard doors and move on built in wheels with temporary transport handles (It is recommended to double check width dimensions of your desired stairclimber compared to your door width however).

User size & capacity?
Max user weight is 375lbs for the Go and Home units and 450lbs for the XL & Pro units.

Assembly time?
About 45 minutes on average, White Glove assembly is available in most areas.

Power requirements?
Standard 110V household outlet for stair climbers. VPR Performance machines are self powered for resistance (console batteries as applicable).

Payment plans available?
Yes, flexible monthly financing options (including 0% APR offers for eligible customers).

Home vs. commercial use?
Home models are for home use, Pro/XL models are built for heavier, light commercial or full commercial environments.

STEPR VPR™ Performance FAQs

What is VPR™ technology?
VPR = Variable Pitch Resistance. It auto adapts air resistance in real time for a smoother feel, adding “gears” to air. With a huge usable range, from rehab easy to athlete intensity.

VPR vs. regular air or magnetic?
Regular air = fixed fan, magnetic = fixed levels. VPR blends both: adaptive like air, adjustable like gears all without motors or friction pads.

Are VPR machines loud?
Engineered belt drive and refined airflow keeps the sound smooth and home friendly, noise rises with effort like any air unit but even in comparison to regular air machines at high intensity, VPR sounds much smoother. 

Do VPR machines need maintenance?
Designed to require minimal maintenance. Belt driven, no friction pads & no motorized resistance.

Beginner friendly? Rehab friendly?
Yes. Resistance scales up or down instantly with your effort.

Which machines use VPR?

Curbside and in room options available in most areas. Units include wheels and temporary transport handles for positioning. For stairs or tight spaces, plan two people.
